This manifesto is dedicated to all who dare to shine & particularly those who love seeing others shine

As women we empower each other the most when we CELEBRATE each other.

Not only our successes, however sweet these are, but also our deepest dreams, aspirations, creative works & life art in process. Your life is your first, and most powerful art. When you shine, you open up unlimited life, for yourself and for the world. 

It all comes down to the simple power of praise. appreciation. gratitude. love.

Gratitude is the most powerful life catalyst: experience the highest possibility. YOUR possibility.

How much appreciation do you let in? do you let yourself feel from others? how about from yourself?

Beat your shine shyness. Step into the spotlight. Your true spotlight is in loving what you are doing, {or what you love most, it’s really this simple: then you ARE the spotlight}

THIS is the difference you are making.

Share the spotlight: It’s not so much about how you are shining, as to how much you get others to shine around + with you. Notice what makes others light up, observe their body language when they discuss their dreams. Bring out their beauty.

True beauty is how much beauty you draw out in others, how beautiful you make them feel: it’s so much more than surface appearances, so much more than what you think you see.

Hold the highest vision for your loved ones: be the person they can’t wait to call or message with the most exciting words of all: "Remember when we talked about…well, you are never going to believe it, but…” Be the person they think of first when they accomplish their deepest dreams + want to celebrate their successes. Success thrives on possibility.

Celebrate the women in your life. Support them {+ their life’s work} with your Facebook likes + shares: this empowers us all: when you empower another woman in your life, she always amplifies + shares the love you gave her with as many people as she possibly can.

Send the women that inspire you a note just to tell them how beautiful they are, how beautiful their lives are + how they have touched yours.

Don’t be shy to shine: “The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” Joseph Campbell knew a thing or two about authenticity + life design. This quote is the opening idea in his book, Reflections on the Art of Living.

I remind myself of this privilege when I feel like hiding, when I get shy. We all get shy at times, and this is okay as long as it doesn’t hold you back from living what you are here to experience. It takes great self respect + humility to truly shine. It requires a high degree of courage + a willingness to take responsibility at a whole new level.

When you step into who you are you empower others to step fully into themselves.

Never underestimate the difference this makes

    Oh, darling Premakarini. I’m SO grateful for you. I celebrate you and the bright light that shines through your words. I know I’m thankful for my ability to dance in creative expression and see what comes out, for the positive feedback I get from my audience, and for the bonds I share with my loved ones.         Yaaay! I’m always happy to spark something new whenever I can, ha ha. :) You’re welcome! I know, right, it was so serendipitous how we rode the same train of thought while we wrote! Oh and I TOTALLY dig what you added about shares. 😀 I’m learning not to stress it anymore, though; those who are moved to contribute will and those who aren’t won’t. It’s as simple as that, really.     I really enjoyed your post… I’m reminded of a quote and I’ll roughly quote it, “Our greatest fear is not that we are without power. Our greatest fear is that we are more powerful than we ever imagined.”

    After years of being told what box we fit in, it can be difficult to step out and toss the box away forever and just live free and open to all of life’s beauty.

Gratitude = love in concentrate form

Gratitude: the one constant that changes everything. Appreciate everything, in every moment. The more gratitude you feel, and the more intensely you experience it, the more gratitude transforms your life and experience.

Appreciation is palpable. Not only does appreciation directly benefit you and your life, whoever and whatever you appreciate is transformed by your continual thankfulness. Appreciation is love in concentrate form. Make gratitude your default attention and focus.

You can always find something to appreciate, even in the most dire circumstances. In fact, when you are in extremely challenging life events, this is often the time you begin to notice exactly what you need and what you appreciate the most. When you realize the pure power of simply being thankful at these times, your life changes.

What you appreciate increases. Appreciation, because it is one of the most focused forms of love is highly magnetic and powerful. What you love, what you are deeply thankful for becomes more anchored in your experience, due to the sheer power of your attention and focus.

It’s easier to remain focused on what you naturally love and what uplifts and inspires you. When you make this your emotional baseline, even the most difficult things can’t throw you as easily. You are stronger and resilient. You have a much stronger sense of who you are and what you want.


The most powerful thing you can do is appreciate yourself. Unconditionally and without limit.


You don’t need to look outside yourself to experience the true depth and power of gratitude, in truth, the more intensely you love and appreciate who you are, the more you can love others. Consider it as your airplane oxygen have to put yours on before you attempt to help others.


Einstein: "A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving."


Recently I have been privileged to experience such kindness, from friends and strangers alike that I have been humbled to experience the power of appreciation at a whole new level. Being self sufficient and priding myself on not needing help, its difficult for me to accept the care of others. As women, we are so awesome at caring for others, but allowing others to take care of us is often a very different story. This week I had no choice, and now I realize the invaluable lesson of letting go and accepting, with love whatever life brings.

It is with the deepest gratitude that I thank each and everyone who has helped, supported, been there for me this week. It’s been one of the most difficult times of my life, and your presence has given me such inspiration and moved me so deeply, I hardly know what to say except Thank you.

Challenge = opportunity



You've got this.

When crisis strikes your reaction is always going to be to fight back, to resist, but this only depletes your much needed energy reserves at this time.

There is another, more effective way.

If you perceive a challenge as an opportunity, you engage life efficiently & optimally.

Your instinct is preservation. Survival. This is why you resist unwanted events. But when you do this you not only reinforce the negative effects of the situation, you lose a lot of energy in the process: the very energy that would effortlessly inspire & motivate the very solution to the situation you need to handle.

It’s always a question of energy.

Einstein, who had a particular genius when it came to understanding energy dynamics insisted  “Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.”

Einstein also declared:

"The important thing is not to stop questioning."

Instead of your usual resist reaction inquire. Turn inside yourself for the answers and keep questioning until you get answers that deeply resonate, that come directly from your intuition {there's good reason your life feels upside down and inside out right now: its supposed to}

Here are some powerful questions to kick start things & give challenge that necessary push back to gain some ground {& gather your strength}

What do I need most right now?* Why?

What’s the hardest thing about what I am feeling right now? Why?

What am I most afraid will happen if I give into the emotions? {by the way, crying in bed all day is often the best thing you can do when you are experiencing deep trauma or devastation. This way you get it all out fresh and clean. Honor & respect yourself enough to feel and fully experience what you feel: you are worth everything. Give yourself emotional sick days when needed. Call it the emotional flu}

What do I need to really believe in myself?

What’s driving me the most right now? What is most important in my life?

What do I need to live the life that inwardly I long for the most?

Who would I be without {insert whoever first comes to mind here..this can be anyone: an icon, your heroine, a creative inspiration in any shape or form} What would my life be like?

If I could start a completely new life today without any ties what would I do first? 

What would I do if I had unlimited resources and creative genius? {you do, incidentally}

*What I find helps me the most right now when I am really up against something:

Singing {Yours is whatever you love to do most}

Singing saves us. Singing is a ridiculous rush. When we sing, we embody more soul. There is this particular quality of catalytic alchemistry that happens when you let your soul sing what is most true to you in the moment; your whole body changes, everything changes. It’s very palpable.

Sing to yourself. Sing to loved ones. Sing to people you are in conflict with. You don’t have to be a songwriter or singer to get the powerful benefits of song. You can start with a song that intuitively pulls on you and let it develop into your own. When I sang Bohemian Rhapsody that one time and the lyrics just altered themselves to what I really had to say, everything changed.

I could hear my voice clearly and I am still in awe of it, to tell you the truth. The other day when I was singing along to something I was really listening to and the lyrics just wrote themselves, when I sang them to hear them out loud and I really listened to my voice, my heart beat so hard in my chest I could hardly contain the amount of energy and bliss rush. My heart kept time and showed me the pace & rhythm. It was extraordinary. My whole body became music. I am still trying to fathom exactly what happened.

Write {10 essential writing ideas}


Write for yourself first. You are your first, and in my opinion, most important, audience. When you honor this, you naturally attract your audience that needs your writing. The entire process of writing itself is the process essentially of writing more and more to this end, of becoming this vulnerable, this present. When you realize this, your writing truly begins to develop.


Trust words. Words are pure power.

Words create new worlds.


Trust your words to convey what you want to say. It’s possible to layer emotions, sensations in just one single word.

Write what resonates wildly with you, what you most want to say: write this first, write what you love most.

When you write for yourself in this way your writing is infused with authenticity and the more it resonates with you, the more it resonates with a wider audience. Trust this.

Write on loose paper. Blank Copy paper. This frees you to write whatever you want. You don’t have to keep it, and what you decide to keep can be easily organized later. Some of the best ideas were first captured on napkins. This is why. Writing on loose paper uninhibits you, frees your creative process. The less precious what you write on is, the less you worry about what you are writing.

Experiment with writing in different journals until you find the type that gives you the most freedom. For me right now it’s brightly colored cheap composition notebooks. They’re lightweight and I usually have more than one on the go for different styles and moods of writing. No rules, just write wherever you are moved to. Explore and play with what’s most fun for you.


The key to great writing is to enjoy the actual process of writing itself. This is the source of all creative genius: it’s in the sheer pleasure of the process itself.


When I write I love the whole experience: the way the words flow through the ink onto paper, what intuitive insights come through, what new ideas I can excavate. When I dance it’s in the enjoyment of the sensation of movement itself.

Most writers I know still prefer writing by hand in a journal and every writer has a type of pen and journal that they favor and swear by.

Write in as many different places as you can. Airports. Clubs. Malls, even. Wherever there is movement and flow I find there is a rhythm to a place you can tap into and it colors the way you write and I think that’s fun to explore.

And when you are out of your comfort zone in a completely new environment, you notice things you don’t usually, which leads to many an interesting adventure.

Experiment with rhythm. I wrote Soul Substance, my first poem ever in iambic pentameter and it came out all in one draft, word for word in just ten minutes. It was my first adventure into this rhythm and it opened up immense creativity in me.

Write outside of your usual genres. The more genres you play in, the richer the depth of writing you can achieve. Different genres flex different writing muscle; open up new ways of seeing the world. Write erotica. Just to explore. Erotica is quite the adventure. Erotica is a door to pure creative power. Play with this. It can be entirely for yourself, something very private. Your own secret experiment. And as with all writing, when you are ready you can share it, or not: your choice.


Play. Don’t get too serious with words. If you aren't having fun, then what’s the point? There’s a power to play that few experience. There’s no right or wrong way to write, writing is an ongoing experience, ideally like a really cool conversation that never ends.

It’s an energy thing*

*With enough energy, anything is possible


The idea: The more energy you have the more you get out of life


Everything falls into place. You get your S**T together. It’s easier. More fun. More productive.

Notice your energy levels as you go about your day. Trust your body: it will let you know what you need.

Where are you losing energy in your life? When/where are you most drained?

What energizes you? What jolts you, lifts you up, gets you giddy? Makes you relax? What has you feeling better immediately no matter what?

{dancing does it for me; guaranteed every time. I can go from crying in the bed wanting to quit to feeling awesome so fast its hilarious}

Years ago I was at a meditation teacher training seminar out at Krishnalaya in California + after an intense session, I couldn't stop crying so I went to lie down in my room and I was thinking of going home + my roommate came in to find me to tell me we are all dancing in the hall I didn't want you to miss out {this was at 11 am or so} and I couldn't resist.

The leader knew intuitively exactly what I needed and announced an impromptu dance session.

This seminar ended up being one of the biggest breakthroughs in my life; I owe so much to this experience.

This is why I trust my passions + intuition over anything else.

Intuition cues you in on what wants to play, with what’s possible, what wants to be created through you; then you fall in love with this + it comes effortlessly into being through you. This is what you really want. You don't have to force things. Its as if they are already created, just waiting to happen. Incidentally, this is why many get stuck in creating their reality: they go after what they think they want.


See the difference?


Since Love = the most potent creative force: with enough love + focus, anything is possible


How far away are you from living what you REALLY want?

Emotion is everything: Immerse in the feeling of totally having what you want: let the insights + intuitions show you what’s missing, what you can do. You’ll know. The more you feel like you already have what you want, the quicker it shows up in your world.

Just like that.
