Wordplay: Experience more presence. Passion. Get more out of life. Give more.

Words are a kind of shorthand for life, of immense value, yet they can hold you back from fully listening to your present situation.

What are you experiencing right now? Probably you are caught up in a flood of words – ideas – that are running through your mind, taking you out of the present moment.

You are most likely only experiencing a fraction of what I am actually sending through these words.

And this is okay: I just want you to be aware right now of what your reality is. When I learned how little we actually listen because of the inner dialogue in our own minds, I was curious as to how this was directly affecting my whole experience; I want to share this insight so that your own experience can open up even more for you.

Are you able to feel the excitement of playing with this new idea? Can you feel the intention to gently bring you so into the moment that you can feel its awe, that silence that holds you still so you can know?

Awareness is a quiet listening, a way of immersing you in the present. This is why awareness is called presence.

When you are fully present you naturally access your intuition, you simply know.

You are beyond thoughts, ideas, words.

You live spontaneously. You live passionately. You instinctively attract the exact experiences that are the most fulfilling, rewarding and hold the most potential for you.

You have more impact.

You experience the most power when you are passionate, present and living your purpose.

At least, this is my experience. The more I live this intuitively and spontaneously, the more my life takes on significance. Its clearer to see what my purpose is and even more fun to observe how it is continually evolving.

We convince by our presence
Walt Whitman

Try this: only be aware of how you feel. Open this up to feel vividly: not only through all the senses, but relax your mind; don’t try to grasp what’s going on through the mind. Let the situation show you and flow into you. Listen to it with your whole body. Imagine your perception is located within every pore of your skin. Dare to be this alive.

Live your life intensely through every moment. Make this much difference.

This is a page from my book, Writing on Writing: a creative adventure playground for your words.  This experimental digital adventure shares  some of my most private journal material and my favorite creative + writing tools that I play with, that have emerged from my 16 year writing practice, as well as some of the most influential writing advice from some of the greatest writers the world has known, who have made the most difference to my writing. The extended version of this book is going to be available soon. This will have ongoing additional material continually added to it.

I confess: its a little unnerving to share such personal material but it is my intention, and an experiment, in truth, to observe the effects of being transparent and the effect this has on my actual writing process. I would love to hear your experiences and insights with this.

So happy to share with you on here. A special thanks to my twitter and facebook friends who have been sharing my blogs online so much this past few months! I so appreciate you.

Love,

Premakarini xo

These words made me relax so much as I read them. Awareness. Presence. This moment in time, right here and now. I found myself unwinding and being at peace because I wasn’t focused on anything other than what was happening at that moment. Thank you for this. You always touch my heart and I love you for it.

enjoy

Enjoy what you are doing. Only do what you can’t do enough of. Give yourself this much creative freedom {permission}

Here’s why

When you are intuitively living what is the highest possible feeling, when you are living life at peak levels, it is pure magic. Bliss.

I immersed totally this past week in this so I could reverse engineer some ideas creatively + see what else is possible.

Here’s what stands out the most about what I have learned so far.

Authenticity. There’s so many reasons this is something everyone is getting more pulled into exploring and experiencing this. When you totally surrender to what you love you are so yourself it’s ridiculous. I am actually struggling with the fact I couldn’t see so much of this when it’s been right in front of me all along, but I just couldn’t see it. Suffice to say my sense of humor is getting an intense upgrade to handle the humbling effect of how I have seen myself as oh so perceptive, yet I couldn’t see all of who I really was, and now it’s so obvious I can only laugh, either this or beat myself up. It really is all a big laugh. And yes, on us.

Intuition. You hold yourself fully out of being all that you are for so many reasons. The way to get around this is to make it your entire focus to fully show up intuitively through what you truly enjoy and stay totally true to this. Yes, there’s always stuff you have to do that will not inspire, but if you are authentically living what you love, it won’t matter at all. Mundane stuff can’t touch your bliss: this is a level of frequency that is truly unlimited and untouchable. When you are this happy, nothing can pull you out of it. You can live this frequency as much as you want.

Transparency. The more you are honest and stay true to your experience with everyone else, on your blog, in your workplace, wherever you are, the more others can see you and the more opportunity you get to see more of who you are. Transparency accelerates the process. And here’s the real thing: collective intuitive intelligence is exploding right now: it’s only a matter of time before everyone knows everything about everyone. Trust me. This is where it’s headed. So hiding: no longer an option.

Immerse. The more focus you bring to what you are fascinated by the more you get out of the experience. Absorb everything that powerfully resonates. Surrender to your deepest passions & loves. Immersion is the way we learn {and experience} everything.

“What fascinates you the most matches your authentic self more than anything else.  Everything is energy.”

Play. The more fun you have, the more creative genius emerges. Experiment intuitively. Explore what wants to come through in each moment and trust the perfection of this {It probably won’t make sense at the time, it doesn’t have to} You are your first audience: if you are having a blast with what is coming through this is all that counts, everyone else will too. One of the most powerful things you can do in this world is to live life at this level of fun.

Connect. There is unlimited energy available when we all consciously connect. This is evolving us exponentially {why creative collaborations are so powerful} This week I connected into more collective energy than I have ever allowed myself to experience. We are in the process of developing our nervous systems to handle this extra energy: realize that this takes some adjustment.

Collective. When you are in public, and especially online, the energy gets amplified exponentially. Add the amplifying effect of conscious participants in the audience and you get the idea. You are going to get nervous. All that extra energy, once it connects with your body takes some getting used to. You can consciously expand and use this energy to accomplish anything. Use it humbly. This honestly isn’t about you; it’s about the collective you are connected to. It’s coming through you for everyone. This is what is awakening everyone. We are all doing our part. When you do your part, you add so much to this collective creative energy. Let others help you. Stay humble.

Shy. Notice when you get shyer than all get out. I had a few of those moments recently. Shyness is a big giveaway as to who you authentically are. You are going to feel vulnerable, exposed. Especially if you haven’t really allowed yourself even to see this side of you, the idea of others seeing it really gets to you. If you could have seen me I was literally covering my head with a sarong, running around {Now it’s hilarious, lol}

Explore. This raw feeling is the door to the most important thing about you + what you can do. Explore your triggers. If it’s got your attention, this is reason enough.

Thank you all so much. Couldn’t do this without you.

Love,

Premakarini xo

    Hello Premakarini,

I really enjoy your blogs. Although I don’t always agree with them 100%, we are on the same page.

I wanted to thank you for being a “light worker”. A “light worker” being someone who is doing work that will better humanity and our world. I imagine the many light workers in our world and organizations that work for the “light” are answering a deep call from the Universe to fight the disease on our planet–namely the humanities poor choices that have put us all in jeopardy.

Christopher, thanks for your comment. Yes,this is so true: we are all being moved in our unique way at this time to contribute. You make an excellent point of saying that we dont always have to agree 100% to recognize and value this. This is such an important insight for us all to realize at this time. Much of what I write is unique to my experience + perspective and is intended to inspire your own experience, to invite you to explore + have your own experience: you can only ever trust and develop from what you have experienced for yourself. The trick, I am learning, is to stay open to new experiences and to totally trust yourself.

Interesting surrender: what happens when you surrender to your passions

Doing what you love is listening to your heart

Amazing things happen once you make the internal shifts and take steps to living your passions. You begin to align with what you really want. You get super clear about what’s not working and begin to naturally connect with what you are here to do.

Things start happening.

You discover your dream career, you meet the right people. You fall in love with your soul mate. You are in the right place at the right time and you come into a whole new experience of  true balance where your outer life reflects your inner experience. You relax.

All the conflict + tension, you begin to realize was just the imbalance between what you wanted deep down all along and what you were actually living. It gets pretty exhausting when these two are completely worlds apart.

Immerse in what you love to do the most: it’s not an indulgence; it’s what is most you. You deserve this much happiness.

This is the real surrender that you know instinctively will deliver up that all elusive peace + bliss you’ve been chasing. You give in to what you want. You begin to explore your passions and dreams at new levels: you immerse more deeply and expand through them.

Your passions show you more of whats possible, not only in your life, but also how much difference they can make in the world.

It just requires a little surrender on your part, enough trust to pursue what is intuitively pulling on you the most and then enough trust initially to avoid any mind spinning you might get stuck in (aka as doubt) which inevitably achieves only confusion, second guessing + all the fun of back + forth, that really doesn’t get you any closer to having what you want.

Everything you have experienced in your life is part of the impact and the difference you are here to make. Live bold. Trust.

Explore whats happening: ask

What do you really want?
What can you do right now to act on this?
What is holding you back?

It is amazing what begins to show up in your world once you actually answer + dig deep with these questions. I can’t wait to hear what this opens up for you.

Just the act of doing this now creates powerful shifts. Who knows what could happen…

Much love,

Premakarini xo

Thank you all so much for all the shares, messages and comments. They mean a lot to me xo

I am on retreat until next week so won’t be online. Unplugged for 7 days: total immersion in some of my own passions. This week is an awesome time to meditate. There’s a lot of energy, if you know what I mean {You are most welcome to join me + swap notes later}

Shy to shine? 5 things you can do to get to the good stuff in life

1. The envy issue: it’s time to reframe envy and see it for what it really is: envy is the ultimate wake up call to what you want. Welcome the experience. Get comfortable with it. Don’t worry about eliciting envy from others. You are helping them to get clear about what they really want and this is a gift. I feel nothing but deep respect + gratitude for everyone who has ever been a creative influence for me, who created that initial spark of envy in me + kicked me into gear. I love them more than ever for having the guts to do what I was getting the nerve up to begin.

2. Moxie: getting enough nerve. We don’t know how to build up nerve, and this is okay. You have to realize this and allow for your learning curve. Moxie comes from experience. From practice. From trusting yourself enough. From allowing + knowing how to use mistakes. You learn how to navigate your nerves by building up what they {and you} can tolerate. It takes a while for our neural networks sometimes to catch up, so allow for this.

3. Be transparent: the more open you are about what you are authentically going through, the easier it is to shine. It’s drastic, yes, but once you are out there, there’s nothing left to hide and this translates into unlimited ease. You relax. You are free to be totally you. You learn more. You realize that you are not supposed to have all the answers: that life is an adventure and the main objective is simply to have fun.

“There’s nothing sexier than authentic expression.”

4. Experiment: play with how you want to share your life. You have unlimited options. Give yourself enough room to move. Explore. You can create whatever you want in life. I love Charles Ive’s thinking: “Every great inspiration is but an experiment.”

5. Love more: live the unlimited version of your life. Love is your secret super power. You haven’t seen all it can do, yet. Don’t let a ceiling on how much love you think is possible stop you from living all that you can.

Thank you all for all the shares everywhere online. I so appreciate you taking the time to do this, you have no idea. Let me know below any insights or ideas you have. As always, its so fun to share with you, til next tues @ 2pm CT

Stay bold, keep shining

Balancing act: the pursuit of balance OR authentic ease + fun: your choice

I am just going to say it.

You don’t really want balance. What you really want is ease. You want life to be easier, yet you seek balance so intently you lose the actual state of feeling of authentic ease which the idea of balance initially lured you with.

We think we need balance for things to feel easy. We continue to think that something is missing, or something is off and if we can just attain {you get to fill this in inside your head} everything will be perfect.

Translated version: when we achieve perfect balance in our world.

Isn’t it interesting that this is something we pursue relentlessly, and often unconsciously, and yet the actual thing we are really after continues to allude us:

Ease.

It’s more a question of ease.

And there’s something else to take into the equation:

It’s a question of what drives you. You are more inspired by your passions rather than ideals. You are driven by what intrigues you, what has the most importance in your life. You are not always aware of what these are at times, yet they influence you, whether you are conscious of them or not.

The real breakthroughs come when you realize this.

“What you are really after is the feeling that you can totally relax into being yourself, that you can be this authentic. When you live from this, all you experience IS ease.”

Authenticity IS ease. When you are totally being yourself you are naturally in tune with what is happening around you. This is how you know. Things get harder the moment you step out of being yourself.

Be clear on what you are actually moved by. What really pulls on you. It’s not always what you think.

Fun and easy.

You are more motivated by the pursuit of fun and happiness than you are ever going to admit. So admit it and commit to it. Follow what truly engages and inspires you.

“What makes your heart flutter? Do only that.

There is not enough time for anything else.”

Richard P. Feynman

Comfort and ease. Feeling that you are in tune with everything is what we think balance can be. This is exactly what we imagine we gain when that perfect state of balance in our lives is finally achieved. The truth is pursuing the idea of needing everything to be in balance creates more stress and anxiety than anything else.

Think about it. When was the last time you experienced the most stress or fear? What were you attempting to accomplish other than a better quality of life, or some new level of comfort or ease?

The irony is completely lost on us. Still we persist.

There are other ideas: live more in and through every moment. Embrace risk and spontaneity as a solution. Let life open up new avenues for you. Trust.

Life has its own balance, and if we let it and trust its natural rhythms we discover new ways to relate, new ventures to explore and its okay if our life changes in its proportions. We intuitively move through the moment and accomplish exactly what we need, when we need to.

What I dream of is an art of balance ~ Henri Matisse

It’s okay if the dishes don’t get done. Or if you end up buying new underwear because it’s quicker than doing laundry when you are launching your latest + greatest. Relationships won’t dissolve automatically just because you are working another 70 hr week getting your book or project to meet its deadline. At times our lives resemble anything but balance, yet this is a form of balance if we can stay open + hang easy with it.

When you first fall head over heels in love, everything falls by the wayside in those euphoric early days and yet life restores itself around it as the relationship deepens and integrates itself into the larger fabric of your world.  Allow the same to happen with all your realities, all your dreams.

What threatens you the most is usually what allows you to grow exponentially. Passions threaten. They create disorder. Imbalance. This is why you cling to the idea of order and lose your passion in the process. This is why you lose your edge.

Allow your passions to create some imbalance while they take over for a while. Everything settles soon enough. What’s important is you experience what you are here to do, that you experience your passions + the new level of life they are here to bring you to.

And when you next find yourself thinking that you crave balance see it as a sign you simply want more harmony and ease and relax into this.

What ideas do you have right now: I’m always curious to know how this got you thinking. Share your insights below. I would love to know what this article inspires for you.

Much love,

Premakarini xo

  1. Nikki says:

The analogy of falling in love is perfect for passion. I wonder about another aspect of falling in love. When life moves back into the daily routine, love can also show you where you are out of balance. When the initial honeymoon ends and your lives happen wherever there is unhealthy tendencies in both of you is when you start to see that as well. I wonder if the same is with passions. Using passion’s and dream’s take over to, once the dust settles, create changes in your life as you realize what is holding you back from that harmony. Just like in the relationship, you can self destruct and sabotage relationships and dreams by refusing to look at your issues and deal with them. I’m rambling but this post has definitely got me thinking in a lot of different directions.

    • Premakarini says:

Nikki, what I have found in my experience is that when we commit to following our passions initially there is a lot of excitement and euphoria but then through the amplifying effect you get to see whats not working also in your life, as you have observed in your experience. Great insight. Thank you for adding this, its important to know. Our passions definitely give us an opportunity to see our lives a little more clearly. Thank you for sharing your experience and insights! Powerful stuff! Its great to have you here. Keep me posted on what else this brings.
